Insect Taxidermy in Shadow Box
This multi-insect shadow box holds eight real-life bugs. The box is 8 and a half inches by 8 and a half inches square. Although I do not know where it came from, an internet search showed it to be similar to one that said it was from Nicaragua. The shadow box does not have any chips or scratches, but there does appear to be some light dusting stuck to the inside of the glass by the insects. The insects appear to be glued and you can see some of the glue on the back of the insects as shown in the photos. It is a very unique piece to have so many insects contained in one shadow box and this would make an interesting addition to a science-themed room, a taxidermy-themed room, or added to a Halloween display.
