Vintage 1960’s Conac Extra Banjo Shaped Bottle Handpainted Bullfighter
Who loves old bottles?
This banjo shaped EMPTY glass Conac Extra alcohol bottle comes from Spain in the 1960’s/70’s. Destilaria escat barcelona. It is a really decorative and beautifully shaped glass bottle.
It features a raised relief bull fighting scene that has been painted. Look closely and you will see raised guitar strings along the neck. Rounded wedge feet ensures that it stands securely. This bottle was well preserved by the family who purchased it new and most of the paint is still bright and intact. Similar bottles are often missing paint.
There does appear to be the remnants of something inside the bottle, possibly a worm. I’m not familiar with Conac but am wondering if it is a tequila.
I did not find any detectable chips or cracks. Please review photos. The bottle may shine up if cleaned but I left it as aged.
You can start your collection of Spanish bottles with this as there is a series of both banjo shaped and guitar shaped alcohol bottles with differing bullfighters on each.
