Framed Thynne Tiles (4) 1950’s England Made, Duck, Pheasant, Geese, Bird Decor
These four framed England made Thynne tiles are not only beautiful, they are unique in that they come with a hand-recorded history as provided on the back of a tile. Apparently the original owner acquired them in 1957 while working at the F. E. Biegert Tile Company in Denver, Colorado.
Each tile is framed in an open metal frame that has ornate detailing in each of the four corners. Two of the frames have more of a matching darker tarnish and two slightly lighter.
Such a cool set of Mid-Mod wall art that would be perfect for a duck or pheasant hunter or nature enthusiast. Wow your guests in a home library, entryway, sitting area or anywhere you choose to display!
Measurements: Each frame is approximately 8” by 8” squared. The tile alone is about 5” wide.
Condition: Preowned good vintage condition. No cracks chips or scratches identified on the tiles. One of the frames is missing its hanger. This is the one displayed on the shelf in the photo. This frame would need to be either a shelf-sitter or a command adhesive strip might help hang. There is some light age and wear on the frames which may include spotting, tarnishing, or light scratches. Overall nothing too detracting to the eye. Please review photos.
