Vintage Degenhart Glass Co Clear Bird with Berry Salt Cellar or Salt Dips (2)

$15.00Price

Vintage Degenhart Glass Co Clear Bird and Berry Salt Cellar or Salt Dip. Detailed bird is holding a berry (also known as cherry or seed) in its beak. It measures about 1 1/2" high x 3 1/4" long ( from beak to the end of the tail ). Some people call this a salt dip and some call it a salt cellar.

Unmarked as Degenhart did not use marks from 1958-1971. In 1972 they added the D in a heart till 1978 when they sold to Boyd.

Measures

3” length

1 3/4” width

1 1/2” high at tail feather

Condition: Preowned good vintage condition. I noticed one bird’s tail feather was more square on one side and not as squared on the other. I’m not sure if maybe it has a small nick out of it but it’s really hard to tell by touch due to the textured glass and not very noticeable by sight unless staring at and comparing the tails as were I. Please review the photos.
